The electric trigger or release system has a detonating trigger (1) with two feet (2,3) to which two connector cables (4,5) are connected. An arc path (8) is provided for conveying static charge away. One pole (7) of the arc path is formed integrally with one foot (2) of the detonator (1). The connector cables preferably pass through a ferrite core (6) to remove high frequency interference.
