PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication unit, and its control method and a program that can efficiently and securely transmit data. SOLUTION: A discrimination section 210 of a data transmitter 200 discriminates the attribute of data of a transmission object. A selection section 220 selects at least one of a plurality of kinds of communication lines 400-600 on the basis of the result of discrimination. A transceiving section 220 transmit the data of the transmission object by using the selected communication line.
