PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor that informs an expert engineer or the like in charge of maintenance that a bottom cause of the occurrence of stripes is not completely eliminated when correction processing is applied to image data in which stripes appear so as toe cope with them. SOLUTION: The image processor that includes a read section employing a line sensor having a plurality of linearly arranged photoelectric conversion elements to read an image while carrying an original, is provided with an unnecessary image correction eliminating means (a stripe image correction block 51) that eliminates an unnecessary image caused on an original carrying direction appearing in output image data through correction processing and with a correction elimination information storage means (a stripe image correction detection storage block 52) that records the fact that the unnecessary image is eliminated by the unnecessary image correction eliminating means. |
