PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for calculating royalties capable of distributing royalties corresponding to the actual condition of the use of a music to the copyright holders of all broadcasted pieces of music. SOLUTION: A database storing correspondence relations between literary works and literary work identification codes for identifying the literary works is constructed in advance. A broadcasting station broadcasts a literary work together with a corresponding literary work identification code, and a receiver receives the literary work and the literary work identification code. A literary work corresponding to the received literary work identification code is specified by referring to the database, and a time when the specified literary work is broadcasted is also measured on the basis of a time when the literary work identification code is received. Royalties to be paid to the copyright holder are calculated by accumulating periods of time when each literary work is broadcasted. |
