PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telephone directory management server and a telephone directory management program by which a user can easily backup telephone directory data stored in a phone terminal even at a visit place and easily acquire the backed-up telephone directory data. SOLUTION: A telephone directory management server 2 registers telephone directory data on the basis of a registration request of the telephone directory data with an ID sent from a portable telephone set 4 via the Internet 1 to a database 21 that stores the telephone directory data comprising at least a plurality of telephone number data and index data of each of a plurality of the telephone number data in cross-reference with the ID, retrieves telephone directory data on the basis of an acquisition request of the telephone directory data with the ID sent from the portable telephone set 4 connected via the Internet 1 and returns the telephone directory data to the portable telephone set 4, and the portable telephone set 4 stores the received telephone directory data to a telephone directory storage section 48 (not shown) for utilization of the data by the user.
