FERRULE FOR OPTICAL CONNECTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ferrule for an optical connector which prevents deformation of a block body 3 and improves an optical connection state. SOLUTION: A fiber insertion port 6 is formed in a rear end surface 3c of the block body 3, and a fiber insertion space part 7 where a plurality of coated optical fibers 4 are inserted in common communicating with the fiber insertion port 6 is formed in the block body 3. A plurality of fiber insertion holes 8 into which coated optical fibers 4 are inserted one by one is formed in the block body 3 at the front side of the fiber insertion space part 7. Windows 13a and 13b communicating with the fiber insertion space part 7 are formed at each of a front surface 3a and a back surface 3d of the block body 3. When the block body 3 is viewed from the connection end surface 3b side, the block body 3 becomes vertically and laterally almost symmetrical. Thereby, deformation of the block body 3 can be prevented when the block body 3 is molded and an adhesive is injected to the fiber insertion space part 7.
