PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas cooker, in which waterproofness is maintained, the top place is prevented as far as possible from breaking, on receiving an external force applied to the top plate. SOLUTION: A top plate 2 is placed on the top of the main body of the gas cooking appliance, and a cooker burner 1 is inserted in a hole 3 of the top plate 2. A burner ring 4 is placed between the burner 1 and the edge of the hole 3. An internal flange 8 in the upper part of the burner ring 4 is placed on the outer periphery of the burner 1. An outer flange 9 in the upper part of the burner ring 4 is placed on the edge of the hole 3. A cylindrical part 10 of the burner ring 4 is inserted between the burner 1 and the edge of the hole 3 to protrude the lower end of the cylindrical part 10 to the below. A ring fixing plate 11 is provided along the lower face of the top plate 2, and the cylindrical part 10 is inserted vertically movably in the opening of the plate 11. A plurality of ring-fixing springs 13 are provided around the cylindrical part 10 and attached at the lower end of the part 10. The spring 13 is resiliently brought into contact with the fixing plate 11.
