PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color image forming material, a photosensitive color resin composition and a photosensitive liquid for formation of color, images having little developing residue, improved developing rate and excellent developing characteristics and to provide a method for manufacturing color images by using the above materials, a method for manufacturing a color filter and a color filter by using this method. SOLUTION: The color image forming material containing dyes and a main resin further contains an auxiliary resin having lower molecular weight than that of the main resin, 60 to 200 acid value and 1,000 to 15,000 weight average molecular weight by 5 to 40 wt.% of the total solid content of the resin. The method for manufacturing color images is carried out by using the above material.
