PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a merchandise information system easily and quickly obtaining the catalog of merchandise desired by a customer. SOLUTION: The customer 50 inputs the merchandise code 51 of the catalog of the desired merchandise and a customer code 52 to the POS terminal 63 of a store 60. A merchandise database 62 and a customer database 61 are retrieved in the POS terminal 63 and electronic mail 70 including a catalog URL 13 is prepared and sent out through the Internet to the customer. The customer 50 receives the electronic mail 70 and accesses the homepage 80 of merchandise information prepared by a maker.
