PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion apparatus wherein safe combustion is ensured even when the combustion rate is greatly varied even in a varying transition period of the combustion rate. SOLUTION: Control means 5 performs temporal combustion control in the transient combustion period previously determined in response to a variation state of the combustion rate where combustion is performed with values previously determined independently from control values in a target combustion rate of at least either one of the amount of supply of a fuel corresponding to the combustion rate, a flow passage area of air of an air amount adjusting member 4 or the number of revolutions of an air fan 2, and after the end of the transient combustion period it changes the control to stationary combustion control in response to the target combustion rate.
