PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a raw material supply shoot of a vertical self-combustion- type carbonizing furnace, capable of uniformly distributing raw materials in the furnace and having durability at a high temperature. SOLUTION: This raw material supply shoot 20 of the vertical self- combustion-type carbonizing furnace is located in the vertical self-combustion- type carbonizing furnace 1 which produces charcoal by burning a part of the raw material of organic waste fed through its upper part and carbonizing the raw material by combustion heat thereof so that the center of the shoot consists with the center of the carbonizing furnace, wherein the raw material supply shoot 20 is composed of a raw material supply passageway 24 which supplies the raw material and a cooling medium supply passageway 25 which is formed around the raw material supply passageway 24 and supplies a cooling medium, and the bottom tip of the raw material supply passageway 24 is positioned in a space under an exhaust port 3a for discharging exhaust gas of the vertical self-combustion-type carbonizing furnace 1.
