PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for measuring topsoil thickness which can reduce work manday and easily and accurately measure the topsoil thickness. SOLUTION: On leveled base soil 3, a sheet 1 for measuring the topsoil thickness including biodegradative resin is laid at regular intervals and after leveling off topsoil 2 on it, from the surface of the topsoil 2 to the sheet 1 for topsoil thickness measurement is bored, its depth is measured and the thickness of the topsoil is measured. At this moment, aliphatics polyester with polybuthylene saccinate or polybuthylene saccinate adipate as a main repetition unit are preferably used for the biodegradative resin.
