PURPOSE: A heating type humidifier using heat transfer medium is provided to reduce power consumption and to rapidly start humidifying operation. CONSTITUTION: A humidifier includes a case(20) storing water and heat transfer medium and having a steam discharge duct(10) installed thereon to discharge generated steam; a dividing plate(60) dividing the water and the heat transfer medium so that the water is placed on an upper side of the case and the heat medium on a lower side; a plurality of guiding pipes(50) installed to the dividing plate and extended into the heat transfer medium so that the water flows toward the heat transfer medium; and an electric heater rod(40) placed among the guiding pipes to heat the heat transfer medium. The water in the guiding pipes is supplied with heat from the heat transfer medium heated by the electric heater rod to boil.
