PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the load of a system by preventing start confirmation processing and repetition of a retry involved in the processing. SOLUTION: This workflow managing device is provided with a business process defining part 110 for defining a business process definition information 111 and business definition information 112 defining the existence/absence of automatic start setting to a group to which each business constituting a business process belongs and a business program for performing each business, an item controlling part 120 for generating item information 121 of an item to be processed on the basis of the business process definition information 111 and the business definition information 112, a business program controlling part 140 for generating business program automatic start request information 143 for automatically starting a business program in which the automatic start is set, commanding the business program to start and also performing start confirmation processing of the business program at prescribed retry intervals, and a retry interval controlling part 132 for calculating a retry interval value on the basis of the past start time of the business program. The business program controlling part performs start confirmation processing of the business program at each of calculated retry intervals. |
