PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance display color saturation when transmission display is executed while maintaining brightness and contrast when reflection display is performed, in a reflection and transmission common type color liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: A reflection film 11 having an opening part 11a and a color filter 10 having an opening part 10a are provided on one substrate so that the opening parts 10a and 11a are respectively positioned in the areas different from each other in one pixel. When transmission display is performed, since the light transmitted through the opening part 11a of the reflection film 11 is passed through the color filter 10 and emitted, bright display satisfying display color saturation can be obtained. When reflection display is performed, since incident light is passed through the color filter 10 or the color filter opening part 10a, reflected on the reflection region part of the reflection film 11, passed through the color filter 10 or the color filter opening part 10a again and emitted, the resultant emitted light is the one obtained by compositing an achromatic emitted color and achromatic emitted light, and bright display can be obtained. |
