PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera adaptive to short distance photography such as an easy-to-use AF camera adaptive to a macro object making use of the characteristic of a compact camera made small in size and light in weight as it is and considering trouble caused when a stroboscopic device is not utilized. SOLUTION: This camera is equipped with a focusing means (mechanism including range-finding part and focusing part) consisting of a photographic lens 6 focused on an object 101 and an extending mechanism, a decision means (IC 2 for AF and PSD 4a) deciding that the object exists between a 1st close range (L1 ) within a short distance side focusing distance limit determined from the restriction of the extending mechanism and a 2nd close range (for example L2 ) shorter than the 1st close range, and a control means (CPU 1: control program) for controlling the extending mechanism, a warning display part 9, the opening operation of a shutter 7 and the light emitting operation of a stroboscopic light emitting tube 8 according to the decided result by the decision means. |
