An adhesive strip dressing comprises an adhesive tape which carries a wadding formed formed solely of fibres of calcium alginate, a removable protective covering being provided over the wadding. The adhesive tape may be made from slightly elastic material which preferably has perforations for ventilation. A latex-based adhesive may be used to adhere the wadding to the adhesive tape. The protective covering may be formed from tarlatan or plastics material, for example polyethylene. |
