PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic tape cassette advantageous for separate recovery of resin material and metal material by enabling easy removal of a reel energizing member form a casing resulting in easy separate recovery of the reel energizing member. SOLUTION: The upper half 31 of the magnetic tape cassette is provided with an inserting hole 35 pierced on an upper plate 33 of the upper half, and an engagement support section 43 provided to protrude from one of the inner walls of the inserting hole 35 toward other inner walls, and further provided with the reel energizing member having a main body support section to be inserted into the inserting hole 35 and a reel energizing piece provided successively to the end port of the main body support section 49 and inserted into the casing through the inserting hole 35.
