PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the such a problem that there is no clear mechanism to release an interrupting signal for informing host equipment that a card receives data in a digital data processing system constituted of a digital data processing card and a digital data processing host. SOLUTION: This card is provided with an interrupting signal generating means for informing host equipment the reception of data and a host interface means for transmitting the generated interrupting signal to the host equipment. The host equipment is provided with an interrupting signal receiving means for receiving transmission data including the interrupting signal and for judging the interrupting signal, an interruption release signal generating means for generating an interruption release signal when the host equipment generates a command signal for executing application processing, and a card interface means for adding the generated interruption release signal to the prescribed portion of the application control signal and for transmitting the application control signal to the card. Then, the card discriminates the interruption release signal included in the application control signal sent from the host equipment and releases the interrupting signal.
