PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing multi-purpose seal is provided to achieve aesthetic enhancement, superior surface hardness and improved corrosion resistance. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises a first step of producing a seal body(12) from a clay in such a manner that an accommodation groove is formed at a surface of the seal body; a second step of baking the seal body at the temperature of 850 to 900 deg.C for approximately 6 hours; a third step of forming a carved portion(14) at the surface opposed to the surface where the accommodation groove is formed; a fourth step of applying glaze to the seal body and baking the seal body at the temperature of 1230 to 1300 deg.C for approximately 8 to 10 hours; a fifth step of processing a protective member(20) from wood in such a manner that the protective member has a groove(22); a sixth step of processing a lid(30) from wood in such a manner that the lid has a groove for covering the carved portion; and a seventh step of applying lacquer to the surface of the protective member and the lid.
