The invention concerns a composition for polymerisation and/or crosslinking by cationic process under thermal activation, involving monomers, oligomers and/or polymers of the organosiloxane type and bearing reactive functions. Said composition further comprises as initiator thermally stable at room temperature and capable of being activated between 50 and 100 DEG C, a Lewis adduct consisting of a Lewis acid of the type of boron halogenated aromatic derivative (C>6<F>5<)>3<B bound by an amine or phosphorus Lewis base, for example bicyclic diamine and aromatic phosphine. The Lewis adduct can correspond to formulae 1 and 2. Said silicone composition comprises additives adapted to the intended application. The invention is useful for coating fibrous substrates or plastic films, packaging electronic components and cladding optical fibres. The invention also concerns polymerised or crosslinked products obtained from said composition, for example in the form of coatings. |
