Data packets (P(1)-P(9)) to be transmitted from a root station include data blocks (B(101) and so on) having error correction codes. When receiving a data packet (P(3)) from the root station to find that the data errors of data blocks (B(302) and so on) are disable, a leaf station transmits to the root station a request for retransmission of those data blocks and block number information (CYCLE 5 with a header H included as one block) that defines the number of next data blocks to be transmitted anew (the rate of compression). The root station retransmits the requested blocks and transmits new blocks (B(401),B(402)) by the next data packet (P(4)), and further transmits the remaining data blocks (B(403), B(404)) by the next data packet (P(5)). In this way, the new data are compressed to increase the number of retransmissions of the data blocks. Thus, the feature of real time of data transmission can be maintained, while the accuracy of data transmission can be enhanced.
