The engine comprise a cylindrical rotor (B), set up in the interior of a stator (A), limited by two flat surfaces (F1) and (F2), being formed a chamber to provided the admission phase (C!) and the compression phase (C2) and another chamber to provided the expansion phase (D1) and the exhaust phase (D2). The said chambers are separated by two sections in an opposite position (H1) and (H2), in which the peripheral interior surface of the stator is adjusted to the rotor periphery and in which its extension corresponds to the gap between two pistons. In the rotor periphery, corresponding to the said gaps between two pistons, the corresponding combustion chamber (E) is inserted. The rotor preferably includes four pistons, each one formed by a first part (P1), extended in a circular way, and whose external profile slides through the internal periphery of the stator, a second part (P2), connected with the first one, extended according to a tangential direction, being supported by the extremity in the slot of a cylindrical bolt (P3); the said tangential direction allows getting a greater efficiency in the application of the impulsion forces of the piston on the rotor. In the rotor interior chambers (R1) and (R2), are formed on each side of the piston base, which pump the cool air from one first derivation of the supply channel of the engine, for the cooling of the interior of the said engine, and pump the heated air for a second channel derivation. In the engine functioning, each piston provide four functions in each rotation period of the engine.
