A reciprocating piston machine comprising a machine shaft (2), several pistons (4) arranged around said machine shaft (2) in a circle, and an annular pivoting disk (5) which is driven by the machine shaft (2) and which engages with the piston by means of a hinge arrangement (6), said pivoting disk being connected to the machine shaft by means of a driver (7). The driver (7) comprises an articulated section (7a) whose center point lies outside the main center plane extending perpendicularly in relation to the hinge axis (9) through the axis of rotation (11) of the machine shaft (2). Alternately, the driver (7) is provided with a fixing section (7c) having a non-circular fixing cross-section.
