The dowel has a large head (1) and a hollow shaft (2,3), and a closure element to close the shaft chamber (23) near the head. The closure element is of a different material than the other dowel parts, e.g. a softer and more elastic plastic. It is formed as a plate (4) and fastened with its edge (41) to the dowel head. It is divided into segments by radial cuts, and has a profile (44) on its outer side to make it easier for plaster to adhere.
