Method for modeling the actual state of medical objects or organs dependent on time varying bodily functions, such as breathing. Accordingly using computer software new states for an object or organ are determined from recorded medical image data. Thus actual geometry of an object can be represented in an almost synchronized manner with the actual measurements. Independent claims are made for: (1) a device for modeling the actual state of a medical object; (2) a computer program product for use with a computer for implementation of the inventive method.
