The present invention provides: a composition for near infrared absorption filter, obtained by adding copper trifluoroacetate to a transparent polymer, and a near infrared absorption filter produced using the composition. The above filter is transparent, shows a very high transmittance for visible light and a high absorption for near infrared light, and has alleviated the problems of the prior art.
