A bearing bush 1, Fig. 1 (not shown), of elastic material has lubricant grooves 2 therein which extend axially and, if required, radially. The grooves 2 may be connected to an annular groove formed by a sealing-flange 3 and a shaft 3<SP>1</SP>, Fig. 3 (not shown), received by the bush 1, the inner diameter of the flange 3 being less than the diameter of the shaft 3<SP>1</SP> so as to effect an interference fit. The flange 3 is made more resilient by an annular recess 4 formed in the adjacent end-face. A sealing-edge 5 is formed at the opposite end-face of the bush and this is also deformed to facilitate sealing. Sealing- faces 3, Fig. 2 (not shown), are formed adjacent each end-face. The overall area of the grooves is greater than that of the ribs therebetween. The ribs may be of softer material than the remainder of the bush and grooves 6 may be formed on the outer surface of the bush to effect damping. |
