An ink jet recording apparatus having a control circuit for controlling the driving of a recording head and a driver circuit for driving said recording head, comprises an AC/DC converting circuit for converting an input AC voltage into a first DC voltage to then supply said first DC voltage to said driver circuit, and a voltage converting circuit for converting said first DC voltage into a second DC voltage to then supply said second DC voltage to said control circuit, and when said AC voltage is interrupted, for keeping said second DC voltage higher than a reset voltage of said control circuit until said first DC voltage drops to at least a guarantee voltage of said recording head.
