The arrangement has pipes laid on a roof in defined areas, subjected to pressurized water and having spray nozzles at defined intervals for producing a spray mist directed at the adjacent roof surfaces to cause evaporation cooling of the roof. The material used for the pipes is metal and the pipes are used as a component of a lightning protection system.
