The plate cage (1) has pockets (3) for roller bodies, and is located in a groove in inner or outer ring of the bearing. The cage consists at least partially, preferably completely, of an alloy, which dependent upon its temperature causes the cage to take two different geometrical shapes. The alloy contains nickel and titanium, or copper, aluminum and zinc, or gold and cadmium, or iron and platinum. Changes in shape take place preferably at a temperature above 40 deg C, preferably at approx. 50 deg C.
