The signal generator (1) has two base band units (2a, 2b) producing a digital baseband signal. The output signal of the first (2a) is connected to a frequency changer (40a), which shifts it in frequency. Outputs from the second baseband unit (2b) and the frequency changer (40a) are added (11a). An I/Q modulator (20a) follows the adder (11a).
