The annular connector for mounting a brake disk or drum on a wheel rim has an outer section with a flange (4) which is an extension of the outer section of the universal joint (2) and an inner section with a flange (3) and a section (3a) which carries the wheel bearing (1). The inner and outer sections are connected by rivets (7) or welding and there are cavities (5a, 5b) between the two sections.
