A building production assisting system includes means (121) for receiving a planning element composed of a figure element, selecting a desired design element from a combination design library containing combination design elements that are structural elements of an object of design of a building, giving the figure element a significance, and thereby generating a general design element, means (122) for generating detail design elements corresponding to output information from the information on the general design element, and means (123) for outputting drawing information from the entire design element and the detail design elements. Designing and modification can be easily repeated, and various drawings can be outputted in response to requests made at each stage of designing.
