<p>The invention relates to a linear actuator comprising a piston, a rotary electric motor and means which are disposed between the electric motor and the piston and which define a mechanical chain that transforms the rotational movement of the motor into the linear displacement of said piston. The inventive actuator is characterised in that the electric motor is a vibration-type motor comprising at least one stator, a rotor and excitation means that are used to distort said stator and/or said rotor according to vibrational modes combining tangential vibrations and normal vibrations which are intended to drive the rotor in rotation. Moreover, said actuator is characterised in that the means disposed between the electric motor and the piston comprise means for mechanically disconnecting said piston and said electric motor when the electrical power supply to the latter is cut off.</p> |
