The invention relates to a test stand (10) for motor vehicle gearboxes (12), each comprising at least one input shaft (14) which is parallel to two aligned differential output elements (16, 18), forming between them a determined centre distance. The inventive device is of the type comprising elements that include at least one receiving structure (22) consisting of a support (24a) that is intended to receive a gearbox (12) for testing, said box being of a determined type associated with a determined centre distance. The device is characterised in that the receiving structure (22) comprises at least one additional support (24b) for receiving at least one additional gearbox (12), particularly of a type that is different from the determined type. Each box (12) is mounted on the associated support (24a, 24b) using an interchangeable modular positioning means (40a, 40b) which is adapted to the centre distance (e, e') of said box (12) in order to allow the tests to be carried out on different types of boxes (12) on the stand (10). |
