The invention relates to a vehicle chassis frame comprising at least two main rails (13) and a plurality of cross members (14) connecting the same. The main rail comprises an upper and a lower range (18,19) with a web (20) connecting the same. The web (20) is made from two plate structures having a continuous U-section shaped portion, whereby the web portions of the plate structures are placed abutting on each other, and the upper flange portions (22) thereof form a part of the upper flange (18). Furthermore, the lower flange portion (19) is adapted to form a box section.
