Compounds of formula (I), wherein R<1>, R<2> and R<3> are independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, C1-6 alkyl and C1-6 acyl; R<4> is selected from the group consisting of CN, COOR<5> and CONR<6>R<7> (wherein R<5>, R<6> and R<7> are independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and C1-6 alkyl); and X<1> and X<2> are halogen atoms are useful as chemotherapeutic agents in the treatment of angiogenic diseases.
