In a document (1) with security element(s) (3) having a first print (4) of colored ink and a second print (6) of metallic inks, the second print is translucent, is printed over the first print and forms an unbroken printed area and the first print has visible, unprinted negative contours (5). An Independent claim is also included for the production of a document with security element(s) by printing with colored ink(s) to give a first colored print interrupted by unprinted contours and then printing with a metallic ink to give a second print, which is over the first and has a translucent, unbroken colored area.
