The arrangement includes a housing containing an electric motor for displacing blocking element from the unlocked to locked positions. An adapter guides the blocking element and absorbs the force if the steering shaft is violently twisted. The motor has an actuator (6) connected downstream for displacing a blocking element (7) which can be displaced from an unlocked position to a locked position. The actuator is a spindle drive with a threaded spindle (8), which is connected via a toothed transmission (9), and a driver (11), which can be linearly displaced in a guide. It also has an internal screw thread (12) which engages in the screw thread (13) of the threaded spindle. The driver has a seat (14), on its side facing the blocking element, via which the blocking element on the side remote from the steering shaft can be connected to the driver. An adapter part (15) guides the blocking element. The adapter part can be connected to the steering device of the vehicle, so that, if the steering shaft is twisted violently in the locked position, it absorbs the forces acting on it.
