<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a black matrix excellent in high-temperature heat resistance and shielding property at a low cost by using a composite oxide black pigment made of specific two or more kinds of metal oxides and having a spinel or inverse spinel crystal structure. SOLUTION: This black matrix is formed to improve the separation property and visibility of picture elements of a luminescence flat panel display panel. Metal oxides made of two or more kinds selected from a group of copper, chromium, manganese, cobalt, aluminum, nickel, zinc, ammon, titanium, and barium as the main component and having a spinal or inverse spinel crystal structure are baked by the prescribed synthesizing method to generate a composite oxide black pigment as a shading pigment-containing composition for coating. The pigment excellent in heat resistance, light resistance, water resistance, chemical resistance, and solvent resistance and having a high shielding characteristic can be obtained. When it is used, the firm black matrix excellent in blackness and shading property can be formed at a low cost.</p> |
