<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the power consumption by providing a belt tension adjusting means adjusting the tension of a driving belt in a belt driving system and weakening the tension of the driving belt at the time of running a recording medium tape at a low speed with respect to that at the time of running it at a high speed. SOLUTION: The power consumption is reduced by positioning a tension pulley 21 at a position needed for making the tension of a driving belt 25 such as a torque needed for a fast-forwarding and a fast-rewinding is obtained when an NR slider 63 is in a neutral state and by making only a torque needed for a reproduction mode to be obtained by loosening the tension of the driving belt 25 while rotating a tension lever 17 in a counterclockwise direction when a device is in a reproduction mode.</p> |
