[Also in Division E1] The brush 16 or like abrading tool of a surfacetreating vehicle 10 is driven by a fluid motor 67 located at least partially within the tubular body 32 of the implement. The brush 16 sweeps dust into a housing 17 having a passage 24 leading to a demountable front pan 25, the passage having a filter and a vacuum plenum chamber. The tubular brush body 32 is supported at one end by a bearing 54 carried by an adjustable arm 46 having channel section sealing means 56 co-operating with the end of the body 32. The other end of the body 32 is supported and driven by the shaft 81 of a fluid pressure motor 67 supported on arm 62 also having dust sealing means 85. Fluid for the motor is conveyed through conduits in the arm 62 from a pump and control valve assembly. The two arms 62, 46 are pivoted on a shaft 34 to provide height adjustment for the brush. In a second embodiment (Fig. 9), the brush is carried by arms 111, 110 on a cross-frame having alternative pairs of forks 114L, 114C and 114R, 1140 for opposite hand attachment to a pusher frame 117 through connection 115R and pivoting link 125. The frame 117 is connected to arms 26 which may de raised by a fluid pressure jack. |
