PURPOSE: A device for fixing intake valve of reciprocating compressor is provided to securely fix the intake valve to a piston while minimizing dead volume between the intake valve and a discharge valve. CONSTITUTION: An intake valve(20) is fused to a piston(10) by welding a side end surface of the intake valve with a corresponding surface of the piston. Welding medium(M) made of same material as the intake valve is forcibly inserted to a welding medium insertion groove(12a) formed on a front end surface. The side end surface of the intake valve and a front end surface of the welding medium are welded.
