The operating mechanism has rotary latches(31) each in the form of a U-form yoke which are rotationally coupled to the operating element(20) via a connecting rod and functionally connected to it by a single Bowden cable run(23). The rotary latches are mounted on the seat cushion section by their rotational axes(38). In their locked position, when the seat back is raked back, the rotary latches engage retaining components on the seat back with a locking action.
