Method and device to influence vibrations resulting from an engine-driven vehicle

The method involves mounting at least one piezo element (4) in the region of a transition between two parts in contact at least indirectly and in some areas, esp. between the parts. The total energy and/or the composition of the frequencies of the vibrations transferred across the transition region and/or via the surface of a component are varied with a vibration stimulator. The piezo elements are integrated into a seal (1) and distributed to form a 0-3-piezoceramic polymer composite. An Independent claim is also included for an arrangement for influencing detectable vibrations emanating from a motor vehicle driven at least indirectly by an engine.
