<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear body structure for automobile capable of effectively dispersing the projecting load from a rear suspension with a simple structure. SOLUTION: This structure comprises a quarter pillar 10 arranged between a rear side door opening part 3 and a rear quarter window opening part 5 and formed in a hollow closed sectional shape and a pillar reinforce 15 provided within the quarter pillar 10. The pillar reinforce 15 has an upper end part 15a connected to a side rail 20 and a lower end part 15b connected to the input part of the protruding load P1 from the rear suspension 30 of a rear wheel apron 25 or the vicinity thereof, and it is formed in a substantially linear shape continuously formed without having a part, suddenly changed in rigidity extending from the upper end part 15a to the lower end part 15b.</p> |
