<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle data access method allowing various applications such as safety support, vehicle diagnosis and driving technique decision to gain access to the vehicle data by a method not depending on the type of a car, maker and manufacturing year in an on-vehicle terminal transmitting and receiving vehicle data through a vehicle network, and an on-vehicle terminal. SOLUTION: This on-vehicle terminal has a vehicle data communicating part for transmitting and receiving vehicle data through a vehicle LAN device, a storing part for storing vehicle data and conversion table, a vehicle data converting part for converting vehicle data of a form peculiar to the vehicle to practical use data form used by application according to the conversion table or the vehicle data of practical data form calculated by the application to the vehicle data of a form peculiar to the vehicle according to the conversion table, and a vehicle information interface allowing the application to access the vehicle data.</p> |
