PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soil/ground water treatment method which enables treatment of a pollutant contained in soil/ground water inexpensively and efficiently by supplying a pollutant treatment agent to soil/ground water under low pressure using equipment reduced in insertion depth and having a simple structure, and the pollutant treatment agent. SOLUTION: In the method for treating the pollutant in soil and/or ground water, the pollutant treatment agent of soil and/or ground water, which contains a treatment base agent used in the treatment of the pollutant contained in soil and/or ground water and of which the density is adjusted to 1.05 g/ml or more and the viscosity is adjusted to 25 cp or less, is supplied to the upper part of soil to be sedimented and diffused to the deep layer part of soil to treat the pollutant contained in soil and/or ground water.
