PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording method and an ink jet recording device, by which no bleeding at an edge part develops, an image having enough water- and light-resistances and a small scattering in an optical density depending upon paper and being excellent in fixing properties is obtained and clogging due to the drying of an ink jet recording ink at the tip of a nozzle hardly develops. SOLUTION: In the ink jet recording method and the ink jet recording device, an ink jet recording ink, in which at least a self water-dispersible pigment, a water-soluble organic solvent and the water are essential, the specified dynamic contact angle at one second after dropping of which is 60 deg. or less, the density of the pigment of which is 3 to 20 mass%, the volume average particle diameter mv of the pigment dispersed particle of which is 150 to 250 nm and the pigment dispersed particle of which satisfies the conditions that the number of the particles having the range of particle diameters laying from 0.5 μm to 5 μm is 50×10<4> /μL to 2,000×10<4> /μL and that having the particle diameters of 5 μm or more is 100/μL or less, is employed and printing is performed by the amount of an ink per one drop of 20 mg or less. |
